STRAND ACCOUNTANT

After spending fifteen years in London, I returned to South Africa seven years ago. I teamed up with Pharsyde Accounting along the way and never looked back. What started as a contracting role, turned into a partnership two years later!

When I started working for Pharsyde Accounting I realized the utter importance of working with someone and for a company that shares the same values as me. Honesty, Freedom, Family and respect in treating others with care.

I have been in the industry for over two decades. My time in London was spent working in Investment Banking. Working for the likes of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Deutsche Bank and UBS London, I gained fantastic experience and enormous insights into both business and finance.

During my time in London, I also became a LEAN specialist and was responsible for implementing the LEAN principles for the Royal Bank of Scotland. I love helping people to optimise their workflow and their work environment!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in London. I worked hard, but I had the chance to travel the world and enjoy multiple cultures and perspectives. One of my trips included three months in Tanzania where I taught Masai children Mathematics and English. I loved their friendly culture and eagerness to learn.

Alongside my dedication to accounting, I am deeply passionate about education and take any opportunity I can to train children and help them build a future for themselves. This is one of the reasons why I am on the board of our non-profit, Pharsyde Foundations - aimed at improving access to tertiary education for women in South Africa.
